How to play

Doors is a free-to-play desktop browser FPS. Two teams of robots fight over each other's doors. There is no in-game text chat, no voice chat, and no gore.

Play at doorsfps.com. A thin desktop shell loads the same site.

The loop

  1. Join a match (open drop-in, ranked, raid, community, or the offline campaign).
  2. Pick a team. Blue and Red spawn in opposite corners.
  3. Shoot the other team. Reach the enemy door while it is open to score.
  4. First team to 21, winning by 2, takes the match. If the match clock expires, the team with more door captures wins (draw if tied).

After a match there is a short intermission, then a new game on the same server (open / community) or a return to ranked pre-match.

Scoring a door

Doors cycle on a clock:

PhaseLengthWhat happens
Open30sCaptures count. Walk into the enemy door and dwell ~0.25s.
Closed15sNo captures. Grey agents hunt. Doors stay sealed while any agent is alive.
Power-up3sAfter the last agent dies, doors stay shut briefly, then open again.

You cannot score by brushing the door. You have to be in the gap long enough for the capture to register. Spawn protection lasts 1 second (you can still shoot).

Weapons

Two guns, no resupply. Switching takes 550ms.

WeaponBody / headFireMag × clipsReloadMove
Pistol30 / 55175ms7 × 31.2s100%
Rifle85 / 105750ms3 × 32.4s80%

Damage rolls ±5. The top 10% of rolls are +5 criticals. Rifle headshots land in the 100–110 band.

Movement

  • WASD walk. Sprint (Shift) drains a 1-second stamina bar at 0.65×. Regen while not sprinting or sliding.
  • Crouch and slide are on the same energy contract.
  • Jump. Air and ground rules are shared by client prediction and the server (shared/moveStep.ts).

Skills

Signed-in players can buy a 12-skill tree and equip four of them (keys 1–4). Timed skills lock the bar for their window. Instants spend a charge and lock for 1s. Passives stay on while equipped. See Skills.
